The Grant Agreements of these projects were signed with the European Commission within the foreseen 8-month period after the closing day of the call. The 10 projects are now ready to begin.
The 10 call ICT-02 finalists were:
-
GateOne - innovation service for european smartization by SMEs.
Its objective is to accelerate the smart systems adoption by the European SMEs in facilitating their access to advanced technologies for the development of innovative and smart solutions. To that end, the project will offer Innovation as a Service to the benefit of SMEs in structuring a complete and adapted innovation chain. -
M3TERA: Micromachined terahertz systems -a new heterogeneous integration platform enabling the commercialization of the THz frequency spectrum
The M3TERA project will explore the Submillimeter and Terahertz technologies for high speed telecommunication links and food safety/quality control. -
MEDILIGHT: Miniaturized smart system for light stimulation and monitoring of wound healing
MEDILIGHT aims to provide highly miniaturized “photonic band aid” as a wearable, light weight and low cost solution in the professional wound care sector. -
PROTEUS: AdaPtive micROfluidic- and nano-enabled smart systems for waTEr qUality Sensing
The main objective of PROTEUS is to deliver an autonomous, highly multifunctional MEMS and nano‐enabled microfluidic sensor node for adaptive and cognitive drink & waste water quality monitoring. -
SMARTER-SI: Smart Access to Manufacturing for Systems Integration
The SMARTER-SI project aims to develop an RTO Community Foundry Model that will accelerate a wider deployment of SSI with greater access to design, manufacturing capabilities for prototyping, early validation and first production of SMEs to exploit in niche markets -
SNIFFPHONE: Smart Phone for Disease Detection from Exhaled Breath
The SNIFFPHONE project will develop an integrated sensor of exhaled breath on a smartphone platform for disease screening -
SocketMaster: Development of a Master Socket for optimised design of prosthetic socket for lower limb amputees
SocketMaster will integrate microelectronic, MENS, microfluidic and sensors into a Master Socket which can help prosthetics to achieve fast customised design and manufacturing of prosthetic sockets for lower limb amputees. In that way it will be optimized the comfort of the amputees wearing those prostheses. -
TIPS:Thermally Integrated Smart Photonics Systems
The TIPS project aims to develop and demonstrate a scalable, thermally-enabled 3D integrated optoelectronic platform that can meet the explosion in data traffic growth within ICT. TIPS will heterogeneously integrate micro-thermoelectric coolers and micro-fluidics with optoelectronic devices to precisely control device temperature. -
Smart-MEMPHIS: Smart MEMs Piezo based energy Harvesting with Integrated Supercapacitor and packaging
The Smart-MEMPHIS project addresses the increasing demand for low-cost, energy-efficient autonomous systems by focusing on the main challenge for all smart devices –self-powering. -
TOP HIT: Transfer-print operations for heterogeneous integration
The TOP HIT project will aggressively develop and validate the micro transfer-printing technology by integrating electronics and photonics components for the magnetic and communication industries. These serve as examples for the broad capability of the technology which is compatible with low-cost manufacturing.
It is reminded that the first call on Smart System Integration (ICT-02) under H2020 – Work Programme 2014-2015 (H2020-ICT-2014-1) was launched on 11.12.2013. The deadline for submissions was on 23.04.2014. More than 100 proposals were evaluated by 63 independent experts, and 64 % passed all thresholds. The 10 selected projects address actions in the field of Research & Innovation (8) and Innovation (2).
