This industrial workshop will summarize research results of the EU-project RACE through talks and demonstrations with a PR2 robot. Main topics of RACE will be presented in detail, as there are: learning from experience, use of ontology based robot control, and recognition combined with high-level interpretation of scenes.
A discussion about potential industrial usage of the results will be moderated by project participants.
Developers, researchers, and managers from industrial companies such as Siemens, Lenze, KUKA, Still, Bosch, and euRobotics has been invited.
For grasping all details of the implementation (e.g. learning approach, ROS-usage, blackboard architecture, object recognition, monitoring etc.): You might meet the RACE-developers team during all days between November 10th, 11th, and 12th in the Rooms F-334, F-326 (Lab) in the F-Building (3rd floor) of the computer science campus (address above) during the quarterly RACE code sprint.
