The Graphene Flagship completed its first phase which lasted from October 2013 to April 2016. A review was held and the panel found that the Graphene Flagship made very good progress towards its objective of taking "graphene from the realm of academic laboratories into European society in the space of 10 years". Several results show improvement of existing technologies, even breakthroughs, and the development of novel solutions.
