Germany, 9 July 2025 – Telekom Deutschland has announced the nationwide rollout of its 5G SA network, which now covers around 98% of the population, matching the operator’s overall 5G footprint. Access to the 5G SA network is provided through Telekom’s 5G+ Gaming service, developed in partnership with ALSO.
Initially launched in October 2024 for Samsung Galaxy users, the latency-optimised cloud gaming service is now also compatible with Apple iPhone 15 and 16 models. Leveraging network slicing, 5G+ Gaming offers enhanced responsiveness and stable performance, particularly for cloud-based gaming applications.
The launch underlines Telekom’s strategy to drive adoption of advanced 5G capabilities and explore new commercial use cases through network innovation.
