Czechia, 18 March 2026 – The Open 5G Hub Brno has officially launched as part of the BVV Living Lab, providing a large-scale environment for testing smart city, Industry 4.0 and mobility solutions. The site is supported by a private 5G network deployed by T-Mobile, covering more than seven hectares and indoor facilities, alongside IoT and advanced data analytics infrastructure. The platform enables real-world validation of use cases such as autonomous systems, logistics, energy management and traffic monitoring, with participation from industry, academia and public institutions. Funded by the EU Recovery Plan, the initiative positions Brno as a key innovation hub for 5G-driven applications and future digital ecosystems.
