Mother of a four-year-old son, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, Vice-Chairwoman of the Czech Social Democratic Party. 
Between 2002 and 2007, she studied political science at the University of Johann Wolfgang Goethe in Frankfurt in Germany, and then political economics at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom. After returning from her studies, she became a member of the Czech Social Democratic Party in June 2008.
Between 2007 and 2011 she worked at the Ministry for Regional Development as an EU funds analyst, and for the next two years she was a representative of the Senate's office at the European Parliament. 
From 2015, she was in charge of the Department of Family Policy and Aging Policy at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. In July 2018, the President appointed her a Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. 
In November 2012 she also became vice-chairman of the Orange Club, an association promoting the fair representation of women in public life. In March 2019, she became vice-chairwoman of the Czech Social Democratic Party at 41st Congress of Social Democracy in Hradec Králové.
