European cloud and edge industries participate in the industrial Cloud-Edge Working Group to recommend areas of investment for the development and implementation of next generation European cloud and edge technologies to the European Commission.
Following the release of the updated cloud-edge strategic industrial roadmap by the working group in 2023, the participants have continued to cooperate on building a thematic roadmap designed for exploring converged network and computing infrastructures in the so-called Telco Clouds.
The Telco Cloud Thematic Roadmap focuses on challenges and recommendations which arise from an analysis of the telecommunications industry landscape and its interaction with emerging edge and cloud computing environments. This Thematic Roadmap offers a timely and insightful contribution to the future development of European digital infrastructures, as defined in the White Paper 'How to Master Europe's Digital Infrastructure Needs?'
