More and more, and in line with the Lamy report and the adoption of the "3 Os" priorities defined in 2015 by Carlos Moedas, future EU research and innovation projects will require from proposers to adopt an open innovation and user innovation approach. The future projects will support cross-disciplinary, cross-sectorial, cross-institutional as well as cross-border collaboration. They will foster ecosystems for researchers, innovators, industries, users/citizens and governments, based on the quadruple helix innovation model (read about Open Innovation 2.0 developed in the frame of OISPG, the Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group).
