In May 2015, the European Commission presented a strategy to create a Digital Single Market where people and businesses can make the most of what digitalisation offers. This includes EU actions to support training in digital skills and coding for everyone.

The aim of these training schemes is to reduce the digital divide and provide skilled workforce for the growing European digital economy.”
