
Pierre Simay has been working for over 15 years in the field of information & communications technology. He started his career in 2001 at the Groupe des Ecoles des Télécommunications in France where he was responsible for the coordination of an international project (FP5) fostering networking for R&D ICT cooperation between Canada and Europe. He then joined in 2004 Motorola labs Europe to work on the setting-up of large European industrial R&D projects (FP6). Since 2005 he is responsible for international relations and European programmes at the Directorate General for Research & Innovation of IMT (Institut Mines-Telecom), a French public institution dedicated to higher education, research and innovation in engineering and digital technologies (8 engineering schools and 1 business school ranked among the leading graduate schools in France).
Pierre Simay has also been working since 2014 for the French Ministry of higher education and research as a National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 programmes for SMEs (until 2016) as well as the NCP for the ICT programme. He is a lecturer on innovation management and European policy for research in several universities in France.
He is a member of OISPG since 2010.
