Second meeting of the Stakeholder Dialogue on Art 17 of the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market

The European Commission is organising the second meeting of the stakeholder dialogue to discuss best practices for cooperation between online content-sharing service providers and rightholders, as required by Article 17 of the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market.

The second meeting of the stakeholder dialogue on art 17 of the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market will take place at the Centre Albert Brochette, Rue Froissart 36, 1049 Brussels, on 5 November 2019.

The objective of the dialogue is to hear stakeholders’ views and to discuss possible practical solutions for the application of Article 17, taking into account the interests of all relevant parties and the safeguards for users. The outcome of the discussions will feed into the preparation of the Commission’s guidance on the application of Article 17, as referred to in the Directive.

The stakeholders organisations invited represent a broad range of different interests and include in particular representatives of rightholders, Online Content Service Sharing Providers (OCSSPs), consumers, users and fundamental rights associations.

The meeting of the stakeholder dialogue will be webstreamed on this page or can be followed on the dedicated webstream page.
