Article 4 of the AI Act, which requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy, entered into application on 2 February 2025.

As part of its AI Pact activities, the EU AI Office hosted a webinar dedicated to this topic on Thursday 20 February. The webinar was open to everyone and streamed live on our YouTube channel You can also download the slides.

In the first part of the webinar, the EU AI Office focused on Article 4 of the AI Act and its requirements, presenting the initiatives foreseen to facilitate the implementation of this general provision.

During this session the AI Office launched a living repository, containing a first non-exhaustive list of ongoing practices gathered among the members of the AI Pact, which will be regularly updated. While complying with the initiatives included in this repository will not automatically grant presumption of compliance with Article 4, the repository should encourage learning and exchange among providers and deployers on the topic.

In the second part of the webinar, some practices and related learnings were presented in an interactive dialogue between the EU AI Office and AI Pact members.

A Q&A session close the webinar.
