Smart Industrial Remoting: remote working in non digitalized industries

Smart Industrial Remoting is a pilot project addressing the digitalisation needs of selected industrial ecosystems strategic to the EU economy. It will use the network of Digital Innovation Hubs to promote the findings, and the developed tool box, to the SMEs in those regions within the chosen industrial sectors.

The Objectives are to:

  • map existing digital tools enabling digitalisation/remote working within (at least 3) critical EU industrial ecosystems and perform a gap analysis for each. The work shall focus on SMEs from regions with a low digital intensity.
  • identify the needs and requirements for a toolbox for digitalisation/remote working within the chosen ecosystems.
  • involve a wide number of stakeholders, including Digital Innovation Hubs, to develop and promote existing and newly developed digital tools targeting those industries. The project shall outline concrete policy and industry actions.
