Virtual Human Twins (VHTs) hold great potential in advancing personalised care, a core priority for the European Union.

The European Commission launched the European Virtual Human Initiative in 2023 to support the emergence and adoption of the next generation of VHTs in health and care. The cornerstone of the initiative will be an Advanced Platform for VHT models integration and validation (henceforth referred to as VHT Platform). Following a call for tenders, a framework contract for the delivery of the VHT Platform was signed in June 2025.

The main goal of the Project Support Office (PSO) will be to provide support and advice to the Contracting Authority in managing the VHT Platform framework contract and specific contract(s). For example, the PSO will assist the Contracting Authority in ensuring that the work of the Advanced VHT Platform contractors adheres to the highest quality standards. In doing so, the PSO will aid the Contracting Authority in achieving the successful execution and delivery of the Advanced VHT Platform project and the objectives of the European VHT Initiative.

More details on this call for tenders can be found here. Economic operators interested in this contract are invited to submit a tender by 28 July 2025, 16:00 (Europe/Brussels time).

Any request for additional information must be made in writing only through the EU Funding & Tenders portal in the “Questions and answers (Q&A)” section (registration on EU Funding & Tenders portal is required to be able to create and submit a question).
