The European Commission Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect) and Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) have commissioned Technopolis Group, together with its partners RISE, DTI and BOP Consulting to analyse challenges and opportunities of AI technologies in the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS).
On 30 September 2021, over 100 attendees participated in a one-day workshop, including sectoral representatives and experts from the ten sectors.
The agenda included a snapshot of recent initiatives, a panel discussion on AI growth prospects and challenges, sectoral break-out discussions about the main business opportunities of AI in the sector and from the perspective of smaller actors and the related challenges, and challenge break-out discussions around three topics: data pooling and data governance, skills development and collaboration between technology firms and the cultural and creative sectors.
