The five EU-supported films nominated for Oscars have received a total support by the MEDIA sub-programme - Creative Europe of €2,512,769 million fortheir development and distribution. The films are from Italy, France, Germany and Spain.
- Anatomy of a Fall, by Justine Triet, alone has five nominations for directing, film editing, best picture, writing and actress in a leading role (Sandra Hüller).
- Robot Dreams, by Pablo Berger, Ibon Cormenzana, Ignasi Estapé and Sandra Tapia Díaz, is shortlisted in the animation feature film.
- Four Daughters, by Kaouther Ben Hania and Nadim Cheikhrouha, is competing for the best documentary feature film.
- Io Capitano, by Matteo Garrone, is nominated in the international feature film section.
- The Teachers' Lounge, by Ilker Catak, also competed for the best international feature film award.
The Oscars ceremony and the celebration of fresh winners will be held on 10th March 2024.
