Executive Vice-President Vestager on mission to Singapore to sign Arrangement on AI Cooperation

Executive Vice-President for a Europe Fit for the Digital Age, Margrethe Vestager, will be in Singapore tomorrow.

The EVP will meet Josephine Teo, Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information, and witness the signing of the Administrative Arrangement on artificial intelligence (AI) cooperation between the Commission services responsible for the enforcement of the AI Act and Singapore’s Ministry for Digital Development and Information. More information on this new cooperation between the EU and Singapore will be published tomorrow.   

Executive Vice-President Vestager will participate in the keynote panel discussion on ‘Geopolitics & Technology: Navigating a VUCA World’ at the Temasek Connection Conference, early on 20 November. The EVP will also visit the multinational software company SAP, and will participate in a discussion on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and AI and the role of the EU-Singapore Digital Partnership launched last year. The visit will also provide an opportunity to hear from EU companies operating in Singapore.
