ICT Proposers' Day 2019 - The Digital Europe Programme

ICT Proposers' Day 2019 will host open dialogue sessions on the upcoming Digital Europe Programme in the context of the next EU budget.

The Digital Europe Programme’s main objective is to boost Europe's sustainable digital transformation for the benefit of citizens and businesses. Building on the Digital Single Market strategy, it forms part of the "Single Market, Innovation and Digital" chapter of the EU's long-term budget (MFF 2021-2027) proposal.

The Programme will bridge the current investment gap for large scale digital deployment, in key areas for a sustainable digital transformations of the economy and society for the next ten years at least.

Advanced computing and data handling, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as well as the skills relevant for their deployment and high performance computing are essential to the development of many areas – from health care and climate to car safety and cybersecurity, to the provision of modern public services of high quality.

Digital Europe is the very first EU programme which, thanks to investments by the EU, Member States and industry in these key technology areas as well as in advanced digital skills, aims at deploying large scale digital solutions accessible and benefitting the entire Union.

The sessions at this event provide a unique opportunity to get an insight of the Commission proposals and to share your views and ideas for programme investments focus in the next two years.
