New supercomputing tool chain optimising performance and resource efficiency in parallel programming

The AllScale project has developed a new tool chain that helps programmers to overcome the typically problematic imbalance between the increase of performance and the reduction of energy consumption in parallel programming in High Performance Computing (HPC) applications.

The AllScale tool chain has been tested in areas such as space weather, environmental hazard and fluid dynamics, which are especially challenging for HPC systems because of their computational complexity and productivity requirements.
