This page gives state of play of the implementation of the NIS2 Directive in Hungary and points of contact.
The content will be updated progressively as information will be made available to the Commission, without prejudice to the formal assessment of the compliance of transposition measures with the requirements of the NIS2 Directive.
Status of transposition
On 7 May 2025 the Commission sent a reasoned opinion for failure to notify full transposition.

The new strategy is adopted by Hungary’s strategy for security of network and information systems as the annex of Government Decree 1838/2018
