FET Briefing
Light bulbs signifying the creation process of ideas
Invention and innovation are two words often used interchangeably. However, what scientists find out throughout their research does not automatically translate into a virtuous process of innovation, nor into products or services with tangible economic and societal effects.
The European Commission supports both the emergence of ambitious, visionary and high risk/high gain ideas that can potentially break through, and the following phases of exploitation of research results.
FET researchers can now turn to FET BRIEFING, an EU-funded project that provides guidance from the early to the later stages of the innovation process, by fostering connections with business stakeholders.
FET Researchers will take advantage of a large offer of free-of-charge services: workshops on how to identify innovation opportunities, as well as communication and exploitation trainings and mentoring sessions. On top of that, onsite and online matchmaking events will also be provided.
FET-Open and FET-Proactive, now part of the Enhanced European Innovation Council (EIC) Pilot, thanks to FET BRIEFING are well placed to assist researchers in their pathway to streghten Europe's role as world leading innovation hub.
