The Innovation Radar initiative is a European Commission initiative aimed at assisting exactly these types of innovations as well as the innovators wanting to fulfill their potential to the market.
The winner of the first prize awarded at ICT 2015 in Lisbon is BroadBit.
András Kovács, BroadBit managing director, explains in the Euronews video the advantages of the batteries based on sodium. With their innovation, they try to revolutionise the growing sector of electric vehicles.
To do that, they are currently building their pilot manufacturing plant, that should be ready next year. The aim is to launch this product on the market in two or three years, so that their innovative product can equip any electric vehicle or even planes.
