In October 2016 the Flanders region in Belgium adopted a new action plan for innovation procurement. The new action plan is based on a smart combination of pre-commercial procurement (PCP) and public procurement of innovative solutions (PPI) and foresees co-financing for Flemish procurers to kick-start 5 new PCP and 10 PPI lighthouse projects in 2017.
