The overall objective of the study is to support the definition phase of the Next Generation Internet initiative. This includes developing a concept for a new research and innovation initiative on next generation Internet and engaging with a broader community of stakeholders. The concept developed in the study would ideally be used for the contents and set-up of the initiative with the objective to launch the first phase of the initiative in LEIT-ICT work programme 2018-2020, extending in the next framework programme (2021–2027).
