The Morpheus Cup will take place on 19 and 20 May. The challenge is supported by the Vice President of the European Commission Andrus Ansip. About one hundred teams of students representing 47 European higher education establishments and 17 countries will compete on public-interest projects that span from education, finance, and societal challenges to energy, healthcare and many more. Such projects are characterized by a disruptive digital approach to policy, economics or technology, a startup, or simply an idea to put into practice with the partners available on the market.
This grand final will take place in parallel with ICT Spring Europe, one of Europe’s largest B2B web events, bringing together 4,000 digital leaders, entrepreneurs, startups and investors from 62 countries. This provides students with an excellent opportunity to meet with many Luxembourgish and international companies in the ICT area, develop contacts, meet companies and entrepreneurs and present their new ideas to potential investors.
The winning team of students will win prizes of a total value of 50,000 euro. The jury is made up of experienced ICT industry movers and shakers coming from global organisations, such as Warner Bros Digital, Mars One, Happn, Dailymotion, FC Barcelona, as well as the European Investment Fund.
