Some of  the EU’s best innovators are now competing across three prize categories. The innovators include SMEs, university teams, spinoffs and start-ups. Coming from every corner of Europe, they reflect the diversity of EU-funded research and innovation.

This year’s Innovation Radar Prize 2020 is powered by Dealflow.eu, a project financed under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme comprising H.I. Capital, Deloitte Digital GmbH, and Dealroom. As a first step of the competition, Dealflow analysed a longlist of high potential innovations developed in EU-funded projects to identify the 12 deserving to compete in the final. Dealflow’s experience in the startup, innovation and venture capital fields gives them an excellent perspective to judge the impact these innovations could deliver in the market.

The Innovation Radar final will take place during the R&I Days in Brussels on 24 September 2020. At the event, the 12 finalists will have to e-pitch their EU-supported innovation to a jury of investors and entrepreneurs, and discuss their plans to push it out of the lab and into the market.

The jury will decide on a winner per category. One of these winners will also receive the overall 2020 Innovation Radar Prize and feature on a Euronews programme covering their innovation and its market potential.

The winners will also be announced on 24 September 2020 at 4pm in a special prize ceremony at R&I Days.
