Eurobarometer on ePrivacy

The review of the ePrivacy Directive is one of the key initiatives aimed at reinforcing trust and security in digital services in the EU. As part of this review the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) commissioned a survey to assess the general opinions of citizens across the EU in relation to key issues that are part of online privacy.
Between 7 and 8 July 2016, 25,526 respondents from different social and demographic groups were interviewed via telephone in their mother tongue on behalf of DG CONNECT.
