Europeana is an initiative of the European Union to support cultural heritage institutions in their digital transformation. The work of digitising our cultural heritage and bringing it online has been ongoing since its launch in 2008 and now gives access to millions of artworks, music, and much more. Almost 4000 institutions have contributed to the work of digitising Europe’s artefacts. The Europeana platform is a fantastic source for creativity and education with many online collections, exhibitions, stories and resources for parents and teachers seeking more innovative ways of learning in Europeana Classroom.
