eParticipation in the EU - Engaging Citizens in Policy Issues! eParticipation showcases how Web-based eParticipation initiatives, such as Puzzled by Policy and OurSpace, can enhance traditional participation mechanisms, by providing accessibility, transparency, and real-time interaction.
This report focuses on how to achieve a vision of affordable,
less intrusive and more personalised care. Ultimately, increasing
the quality of life as well as lowering mortality. Such a
vision depends on the application of ICT and the use of data.
The Task Force behind this report was convened to explore
the potential of ICT in health innovation in the EU and make
recommendations on what could be done now to ensure that
Europe reaps the full benefits of eHealth in 2020.
As a follow-up of the report of the High Level Group on Multilingualism, the European Commission initiated a study with the aim to investigate the impact on language learning of ICT and new media.
People in the EU are growing older and older. That puts severe pressure on our healthcare systems, and because of that, this study (published 2008) examines if it is true that the use of ICT contributes significantly to keeping care related costs manageable, and also influences the economy through the creation of new market opportunities.
