Roaming implementing regulation

The text lays down detailed rules on the application of fair use policy and on the methodology for assessing the sustainability of the abolition of retail roaming surcharges and on the application to be submitted by a roaming provider for the purposes of that assessment.

This act, adopted on 15 December 2016, has not yet entered into force. It was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 17 December 2016, and will enter into force 20 days after its publication.

The implementing act and its annexes are accompanied by 2 Commission Staff Working Documents: an Impact Assessment analysing the first fair use policy proposal presented by the Commission on September 5, 2016; and an additional analysis assessing in particular the estimated impacts of the finally approved text.
