During this event the participants were informed about the 5G research and innovation funding opportunities offered by the ICT calls for proposals of the Horizon 2020 work programme 2016-2017. In particular, the overall framework and the specifics of these upcoming calls were on the agenda.

The two 5G related Horizon 2020 ICT 2016-2017 calls (ICT-07-2017 & ICT-08-2017) are also known as the second phase (phase 2) of project implementation of the 5G Infrastructure Public Private Partnership (5G PPP). The first phase (phase 1) of the 5G PPP was part of the previous Horizon 2020 (H2020) work programme (2014-2015).

ICT-07 and ICT-08 H2020 calls for proposals open on May 10th 2016.
