The European Broadband Competence Offices Network Support Facility
A diverse array of projects has been submitted for consideration. These projects exhibit variations in scale, location, type, and technology, ranging from small to large, rural to urban, and encompassing both private and public initiatives. They span across various geographic levels, including local, regional, national, and multi-country, and encompass a wide spectrum of technologies. To be considered in accordance with the application rules, these projects are required to have progressed significantly in their implementation phase.
Projects will be awarded across five distinctive categories:
- Innovative Financing, Business, and Investment Models: projects that have leveraged innovative and effective financing or business models.
- Cost Reduction and Co-Investment: projects that maximised synergies between infrastructures and encouraged cooperation among stakeholders, including those in cross-border/multi-country projects.
- Socio-Economic Impact in Rural and Remote Areas: projects that have significantly improved connectivity in isolated and rural areas.
- Demand Generation and Connectivity Uptake: projects that have stimulated demand and increased the uptake of a myriad of connectivity services, including 5G.
- Quality and Affordability of Services: projects that prioritised providing high-quality and affordable services to end-users.
