The challenge is about increasing democratic participation.
Participants can choose to create or improve tools that increase:
- participation: allow citizens to participate in public consultations or in policy-making debates held at EU (and possibly national) level;
- transparency: enable the mining and analysis of responses and positions published in the framework of a public consultation process or legislative debate; or,
- participation & transparency: combine both aspects.
All interested coders to apply before 5 October 2014 midnight, using the online form: http://www.2014.euhackathon.eu/
