The European Commission believes that social and ecological priorities as well as constructive critical thinking about the impact of technology are integral to true technological and digital innovation. Building on the S+T+ARTS=STARTS programme, this current action seeks to promote art-driven innovation as an alternative joint pathway to the future for economies across different continents and cultures. The action intends to demonstrate how synergies of digital technologies with local arts, culture and traditions across different nations and continents can contribute to developing both new technologies and novel uses of technology that are ecologically-conscious.
In this initial pilot phase, proposals must relate to activities taking place in a selected list of countries in either the Middle East or sub-Saharan Africa. Please note that only consortia of 3 partners from a minimum of 3 eligible countries will be eligible (section 6 of the call text).
This call for proposal will close on 4th October 2022. Please read carefully the attached 'Call for Proposals' text which explains the goals and the constraints for this call.
The attached Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ will be regularly updated based on questions received. Please note that there is also the possiblity to request a description of your organisation be added to this FAQ document in order to help you find a suitable consortium.
Complete all the necessary documents as explained in section 11 of the call text. Documents D1-D6 attached need all to be filled out and submitted with the application, failure to do so will lead to rejection of the application.
