8th Meeting of the Future Internet Forum (FIF)

The meeting was dedicated to the Next Generation Internet Initiative (NGI) and focused on the first NGI Open Calls for Internet Innovators (through cascaded funding) on three different key ares: (1) Discovery and Identification Technologies, (2) Privacy and Trust Enhancing Technologies, and (3) Decentralised Data Governance.

The following main subjects were also covered:

• The next NGI calls in H2020.
• The industrial participation and engagement in NGI.
• Exchange of experiences of NGI activities in the Member States and the Associated Countries, including presentations from three Austrian NGI projects.
• A possible Partnership on Smart Networks and Services in FP9.
