Three films, "Another End", "Architecton" and "Des Teufels Bad"(The Devil’s Bath), have been shortlisted in the 'Competition' category and will compete for the prestigious Golden and Silver Bears. Twelve other films have been nominated for other Berlinale awards, as well as for independent prizes outside the festival. All these films were financed by the MEDIA Strand of the Creative Europe Programme, to the tune of almost 700,000 euros. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on February 24.

The European Film Market will run alongside the Berlinale, and the Commission will be present to discuss and engage with key players and beneficiaries. It has organised a panel discussion under the title ‘Setting the stage for a thriving ecosystem for European content’ in the context of the European Film Market, which takes place alongside the Berlinale. The session will take place on Saturday 17th and will bring together European broadcasters and producers to explore market opportunities for European players.
