Request for expression of interest to become host of mHealth Hub

The mHealth Hub is a new European project, funded by Horizon 2020 and managed by the World Health Organisation and ITU. It will collect and share national experiences of working with mobile health (mHealth) and help Member States introduce mHealth programmes. The project managers have launched a request for expressions of interest to become host of this hub.

The mHealth Hub project aims to collect best practices on the use of mHealth in Europe. It is a collaboration between the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - the United Nations specialised agency for information and communication technologies. The mHealth Hub will work alongside their global 'Be He@lthy, Be Mobile' initiative.

The project is funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 2016-2017 Work Programme, under the action 'Establishing EU mHealth Hub including evidence for the integration of mHealth in the healthcare systems'.

Objectives

The objectives of the 4-year EU mHealth Hub project are:

  • To collect and share national experiences of working with mHealth at scale across a variety of disease areas and intervention types;

  • To help EU Member States introduce mHealth programs and build relationships with regional and global counterparts.

Request for expressions of interest

The WHO and ITU have released a request for expressions of interest (REOI) to apply as the host of the EU mHealth Hub. This is open to both individual institutions and consortia of partners who meet the criteria for Host.

Deadline for submitting your application is Friday 29 September 2017.

Full details of the REOI

Only organisations who have submitted their application will be considered for the second stage of the process, where accepted candidates will be invited to submit a full proposal.
