Gaming and entertainment are some of the most popular activities in virtual worlds, but there are many more activities related to our daily work or for acquiring new skills that are available already and you don’t need a headset or Virtual Reality-glasses (VR-glasses) for all of them.

Being able to practice a skill without risking injury or damaging expensive machinery are among the most promising activities you can do in virtual a virtual workplace. You can immerse yourself in a virtual environment where you go dragon flying, challenge yourself in a car race or deep-sea diving. Learning new skills at work, such as manipulating dangerous materials or tools or accessing dangerous places. As a kid, you can also learn things without risking injuries or accidents, play in a virtual chemistry lab or simply join a class in an interesting subject of your choice.

You will also be able to use your digital wallet, in the future, to keep your digital assets safe and traceable, both those that you buy or sell, and those that you have crated yourself. There are many ways to pay and receive money using digital transactions. You can use cryptocurrencies, and in the future, you will be able to store those too in your digital wallet. For some time to come you can still use your credit cards or other online payment methods, and just like today, different platforms require that you use different payment methods.

Work in virtual worlds is already happening such as in construction, manufacturing and logistics industries that are investing in virtual factories to streamline the processes and make them safer and more efficient.

To socialise and entertain, or being entertained, are other possibilities that are already on offer in virtual worlds. Chatrooms and meeting facilities, virtual concerts, interactive ballets, gaming are just some examples.

You could try on clothes virtually to see how they look on you, you could buy and sell digital assets. There are many different activities that you can do from home which would also reduce your environmental footprint and save time such as virtual travelling, visiting the museums, monument and sites without leaving your sofa.

The future may hold many more possibilities of what you can do in virtual worlds using your creativity and access public services or exercise in virtual worlds. Rehabilitation in virtual worlds after an accident enables the patient to stay at home for longer.
