On 6 December, the public part of the meeting will offer key insights on the current self-regulatory processes in the area of cloud computing, which the Commission is facilitating. This concerns the switching of cloud service providers, cloud security certification and data protection. The Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna will provide the perfect setting for this first day that is open to all those interested.

On 7 December, the working groups on Cloud Cybersecurity Certification (CSPCERT) and Switching/Porting (SWIPO) will hold internal meetings in Vienna, to make further steps forward in their work.

Since the last plenary meeting in Rome in October, the work of the SWIPO and CSPCERT working groups advanced significantly, with CSPCERT now ready to present a new milestone in Vienna. SWIPO advanced significantly on the governance framework of the future codes of conduct. Subject to progress in this regard, it is possible that the new code of conduct on Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud services will be launched publicly during the Vienna meeting on 6 December.

Should you be interested to join (one of) the working groups, please send us an email.
