Regarding digital solutions for better health and care, the European Commission recently published a Communication on the digital transformation of health and care, the Austrian Presidency sees it as one of its priorities and several MEP's have expressed their vision on this challenge.
The East Netherlands Region is organising a free seminar on this topic in Brussels as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities. Here they bring relevant stakeholders together to share their respective visions, policy and best practices, which are fundamental to the success of the digital transformation of health and care.
In the East Netherlands region a consortium of four academic institutes (Wageningen University, Radboud UMC, Radboud University and the University of Twente), other knowledge and educational institutes, health and care institutes, business and government have set up the 'TopFit programme'. The goal of this programme is to reduce illness and the burden of disease with an integrated approach combining innovative, patient-oriented technologies and knowledge of nutrition and health.
