
The Romanian national Broadband Competence Office (BCO) designed and implemented the Ro-NET project to bring high-speed broadband coverage to rural Romania. As the BCO’s lead representative, Corneliu Manescu, explains in this interview, the project managed to cover 695 rural localities, connecting 200,000 rural households, 8,000 public and private institutions and over 390, 000 citizens, thanks to national and EU funding, via the European Rural Development Fund (ERDF).
