The European Media Freedom Act is a landmark initiative aimed at safeguarding the integrity, pluralism and independence of the EU media market. It will do so by establishing a common framework for advancing the internal market in the media sector.
In this context, the Commission has launched a public consultation on the European Media Freedom Act. Citizens, businesses (in particular media actors), academics, civil society, public authorities, and all interested parties are invited to share their views and provide their responses until 25 March 2022.
