The conference programme of the 2018 edition featured 6 plenary sessions on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Next Generation Internet, Digital Skills and High-Performance Computing.
Speakers from policy circles, academia, civil society and industry highlighted their perspectives and priorities, and discussed how each can contribute to the successful digital transformation of Europe.

IMAGINE18 at ICT 2018

The event hosted IMAGINE18, the annual conference of the Austrian ICT community. This year's edition revolved around the theme "Technologies bridging Generations". Leading digital experts, policy makers and researchers, together with young students, reflected on future scenarios and developments in the field of ICT. Through workshops and an idea marathon, participants from different age groups, cultures, and areas of expertise exchanged their ideas for true innovation to happen.

At the ICT 2018 event in Vienna, representatives of the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) and the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G IA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. They have committed to working together towards the creation of a secure and trustworthy 5G communication network in Europe.
