The Conclusions of the European Summit on Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing have just been published by the European Commission (EC). The report is based on the feedback received from the many participants, and organized in a set of actions that the EC will pursue jointly with interested stakeholders in the coming 18 months.

These actions include measures to better convert innovation into economic growth and jobs, mobilize public and private investment, transform health and care systems to meet the needs of the ageing population, leverage technological breakthroughs and build a more inclusive "ageing society".

In his blog post, Paul Timmers, Director for Digital Society, Trust and Security at the European Commission (DG CONNECT), invites all interested parties to join forces and work together on 4 key areas: scaling up innovation across EU; advancing the Silver Economy Strategy; boosting investment and access to capital; building on stakeholder platforms.
