Registration open for the EU-Mexico Digital Economy Forum B2B meetings

The period to request business meetings (B2B) as part of the EU-Mexico Digital Economy Forum has started. The B2B meetings will take place from January 31 to February 10, 2022. Due to the time difference between Mexico and the European Union, the time allowed to schedule meetings will be from 16:00 to 20:00 CET.

Two weeks left to apply for the European Broadband Awards 2022

All projects delivering broadband internet to citizens that are advanced in implementation, targeting rural or urban areas, supported by private or public investors, local, regional, national or cross-border are welcome to apply for the European Broadband Awards by 31 January 2022. The winners will receive an EU Broadband Award and will be showcased by the European Commission as good examples in social media and websites.

Open Market Consulation: Wave energy applications

Mutriku Wave Power Plant in the Bay of Biscay (Spain) is the first commercial plant in Europe that is using wave energy to generate electricity since 2011. It now aims to procure the development of new turbine technologies to improve performance, controllability, reliability, maintainability and affordability. The Basque Energy Agency is inviting potentially interested bidders to participate in the open market consultation (January-February 2022) and provide market feedback on this upcoming procurement.

The European Commission is looking for novel blockchain solutions for the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure. The first solution design phase was completed by 7 contractors.
