United States: Nokia and NVIDIA announce $1 billion partnership to accelerate artificial intelligence–radio access network and prepare the shift to 6G

United States, 28 October 2025 – Nokia and NVIDIA have announced a strategic partnership in the United States, including a USD 1 billion equity investment by NVIDIA to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence–radio access network technologies and support the transition from 5G-Advanced to 6G. The agreement includes the introduction of NVIDIA’s 6G-ready Arc Aerial radio access network computer platform, which will serve as the foundation for new Nokia artificial intelligence–radio access network products.

T-Mobile U.S. will collaborate with both companies to integrate and test artificial intelligence–radio access network technologies as part of its 6G development roadmap, with field trials planned for 2026. Dell Technologies will provide PowerEdge servers to support the new artificial intelligence–radio access network infrastructure. According to the companies, the partnership aims to address the rapidly expanding market – expected to exceed USD 200 billion cumulatively by 2030 – and enable operators to deliver more efficient and intelligent networks capable of supporting increasing artificial intelligence traffic and future artificial intelligence-native services at the edge.
