The aim of the FET-funded Foresight project OBSERVE was to support the EU’s FET programme in directing its funding activities to support Europe to grasp leadership early on in new and emerging technology areas.
For this purpose, OBSERVE set up an Observatory that screened novel emerging needs, practices, collaborations and solutions using a set of quantitative and qualitative methods of prospective analysis.
