SEMIC 2017 - Semantic Interoperability Conference
The SEMIC 2017 conference on Data and Information management will take place on 14 June 2017 in Valletta, Malta. It will be opened by Hon. Emanuel Mallia, Maltese Minister for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy, alongside Gertrud Ingestad, Director General of European Commission's DG Informatics, and Mário Campolargo, Deputy Director General of DG Informatics.
This annual conference on semantic interoperability is organised by the ISA² Programme of the European Commission, this time in collaboration with the Malta Information Technology Agency.
The event will offer the opportunity to learn how leading organisations in Europe are creating value from their management of data and information through insightful use-cases on information governance and management. To attend the conference, please pre-register online here by no later than 7 June. We advise registering early, since June is a busy touristic period in Valletta and flights and hotels may be in short supply. Please note that your registration is subject to approval by the organisers. You will be notified of your registration status by email.
As the conference is organised back to back with the Digital Agenda Assembly held by the European Commission in Malta on 15 and 16 June, you might want to book your flights accordingly.
The SEMIC conferences are organised as part of the action Improving semantic interoperability in European eGovernment systems under the umbrella of the ISA² programme and its predecessor the ISA programme, since 2011.
