You definitely want to take part in an international nanotechnology conference and meet global senior researchers, industry leaders and policy makers.
Then this is your chance: The European Commission is going to sponsor the trip of 5 students to Japan in order to participate at the International Nanotechnology Conference on Communication and Cooperation (INC 11) from 11-13 May 2015.
The INC fosters international communication and cooperation on nanotechnology among partners from industry, academia and government in order to advance innovation in computer, communications, electronics, chemistry, opto/display electronics, biology and related industries.
Global science and technology trends, as well as overviews of major regional funding programs will be presented from Europe, Japan and the United States. The Conference will address not only scientific topics but also societal challenges.
For the best motivated five applicants, travel costs will be reimbursed and an accommodation allowance of 100 euro per night will be provided. Also, a daily subsistence allowance of 92 euro will be allocated for each day of the meeting.
The students are expected to share their experiences from INC11 in a blog that will be published on the Digital Agenda website. If you want to be one of them, send us your CV and Motivation letter no later than 28-02-2015.
The contact person on behalf of the European Commission is Mr Dirk BEERNAERT, Adviser to the DG CONNECT Director General for Cross-Cutting Innovation. This competition is open to PhD students that fit the profile described above and study in Europe.
We are waiting for your applications (e-mail Dirk.Beernaert@ec.europa.eu) and wish you good luck and inspiration!
