As one of the long-awaited events of the year and holding a unique convening capacity for professionals with its film market, Cannes Film Festival will be the perfect moment for Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton to present MediaInvest.

This new financial tool, announced in the Media and Audiovisual Action Plan, is intended to increase investment into European audiovisual production and distribution companies and hence help them to preserve their autonomy and increase their capacities. The tool is launched in the wider context of InvestEU, designed by the European Commission and implemented by the European Investment Fund.

The conference will be of particular interest to fund managers and investors willing to enter this sector with a financial investment perspective, as well as production and distribution companies eager to boost their financial capacities through equity investment.
